TALL Security Print Extends Product Portfolio with £500k Investment

TALL Security Print Ltd, part of the TALL Group of Companies, the UK leader in the provision of secure print and payment solutions, has invested half a million pounds in new printing equipment at its headquarters in Runcorn. The significant outlay will allow the organisation to enhance and extend its existing product and services portfolio.

As a part of the investment programme, TALL Security Print has acquired a B3 Xerox Versant digital press to boost its colour printing capabilities across the organisation. An AMS inkjet system has also been installed to enable the company to print variable data at high speeds, including in-line numbering, barcodes and addresses.

In addition, TALL Security Print has replaced its existing form cutting equipment with two continuous guillotines from Spedo. The new machines will increase reliability and quality when it comes to processing materials. Finally, the company is taking delivery of a replacement Imer continuous five-colour litho press with a rewind function and UV drying. The press was built specifically for the company in Spain.

The new equipment being installed across the business will increase productivity and efficiency, which will result in substantial time and cost savings. By strengthening its portfolio of services, especially with the introduction of the digital press from Xerox, TALL Security Print is also opening itself up to new marketplaces, both in the UK and internationally.

Martin Ruda, Managing Director of the TALL Group of Companies, said: “It is absolutely crucial for TALL Security Print to secure its position as the UK market leader by continuing to develop its wide range of world class services, for both new and existing clients. Through the acquisition of the Xerox Versant, the company is now able to supplement its portfolio by offering high quality variable data products. This substantial investment programme will play a key role in our future plans for growth, at a time when we see new opportunities emerging at home and abroad.”

TALL Security Print produce Fuel Coupons for OiLibya after Contract Win

TALL Security Print, part of the TALL Group of Companies, the UK leader in the provision of secure paper and payment solutions, has been chosen by OiLibya, the pan-African energy group, to exclusively provide the company’s fuel coupons in Ethiopia. TALL Security Print has produced one million fuel coupons to be used across all of OiLibya’s service stations in the east African country.

OiLibya operates a fuel coupon system, which is used by the drivers of large businesses and organisations to obtain fuel for company vehicles. Upon winning the contract, TALL Security Print enhanced the design of the coupons that were previously being used by the energy group. In addition, both overt and covert security features were incorporated into the new design, providing a significantly greater degree of protection against fraud. Before being distributed to its customers, OiLibya overprint the coupons with the name of the customer, denomination and data reference fields. Once the coupons are redeemed for fuel, the service stations send them back to a centralised office to be scanned and processed through OiLibya’s accounting system.

Martin Ruda, Managing Director of TALL Security Print, said: “TALL Security Print continues to innovate in order to provide customers with the most up-to-date solutions whilst delivering exceptional value. This has been a key reason behind the company’s growth not only in the UK, but also internationally. We are pleased that our skills and experience continue to be recognised across the world.”OiLibya, said: “The specialist team at TALL Security Print quickly produced a large number of coupons that perfectly matched our brief. When discussing the company’s requirements with TALL Security Print, we were impressed with the range of security features it could incorporate into the finished product, which will help to stop fraudulent activity across our operations in Ethiopia.”
